Before Stoneman Fabrications ever opened its doors, co-founder Megan grew up surrounded by kitchen design and Bay Area home remodeling. Megan’s parents owned Focal Point Kitchens, a beloved San Francisco Bay Area kitchen design studio that helped shape hundreds of homes. Their kitchen remodeling business was started in their home garage, where she remembers her mom designing kitchens in the office and her dad unloading cabinets for big deliveries. Megan would tag along on design appointments, help select finishes, and measure spaces, eventually designing custom kitchens herself.
Around the same time, long-time fabricator Carlos was mastering every facet of the stone fabrication trade, from cutting and polishing stone slabs in local yards to installing high-end kitchen countertops and custom stone fireplaces across Northern California. His hands-on expertise, calm precision, and reputation for integrity made him the go-to stone fabricator for designers and contractors who valued excellence.
It was through these family projects that Megan first noticed the exceptional custom stonework of Carlos, one of her family’s most talented fabricators. Together, they shared one conviction: that great design deserves great execution. In 2013, they combined their experience to launch Stoneman Fabrications, a San Francisco Bay Area stone fabrication company built on skill, trust, and genuine relationships. What began in a borrowed shop quickly grew through referrals from contractors, designers, and homeowners who loved the results.
The two started small, working out of Megan’s cousin’s used car shop. From there, the two founders moved into a larger space shared with another fabricator, before finally establishing their own shop in the heart of San Mateo. Today, Stoneman Fabrications continues to proudly serve the San Francisco Bay Area, handling everything from large multi-unit projects to single-family homes. Today, their team of skilled artisans delivers everything from dream kitchens to commercial landmarks, all under one roof.

Our Stonemen are extensively trained and have years of experience sculpting masterpieces for both residential and commercial projects.
